Music has been a passion of mine for several years now, dating back to when I was a young boy listening to my parents CD’s containing Judas Priest, Metallica, Iron Maiden, and more. Music didn’t really start to click with me until my later years of high school when I began exploring the different sides of rock music. In 2009 or so, my love for metal surfaced, and I became fully enamoured with some of the most extreme music anyone had ever experience.
I began to write reviews and other sorts of articles in 2010/2011 on my own website. After a few months, I found my way to Metalholic. The first few years have brought about many learning experiences and opportunities, some that I will definitely never forget. After taking a small break and refocusing priorities, I have decided to give Metalholic my full attention once more and strive to bring the best content I can to its pages.
My tastes in music range from electronica, rock, folk, classical, metal, and more. While these tastes are broad, I find myself always returning to the dark and desolate spaces of extreme metal. Many of my favorite acts hail from the categories of black, death, and heavy metal varieties, and many others bringing about a mixture of the aforementioned. I love the occasional metal show, especially if I’m able to take pictures or give my thoughts in a review. I hope you enjoy the site as well as the content I provide for it in the future. Support your favorite artists when you can, and remember to keep it metal.
