Elephant Rifle Fire off new digital single
Release Date: September 27, 2013
How do you describe Reno’s Elephant Rifle? How do you describe a wrecking ball, a lion chasing prey, or the apocalypse? Let’s go with straightforward in purpose, intricate in all its movements, and yet completely, beautifully destructive. These four gents join together to wield rock madness and get weird. They are the band your mom warned you about.
Their latest digital 7″ release is like a 70s porn flick turned rock n’ roll horror show. It’s loud, sweaty, filthy, creepy, and goddamn sexy. You can almost smell the stale beer and raucous love lingering in the air as you feel the fuzz from the bass sliver up your spine. The drums manifest a rhythmic mauling while the guitar dances in chaotic, disharmonious splendor. The vocals are dangerous and crazed with delivery by an apparent madman. Elephant Rifle leaves you feeling confused, a whole lot of dirty, and totally satisfied.
For $2 you get this two-track digital 7”, “I Can’t Believe You’re Still Alive” / “Clones & Clones”. The funds go towards it actually being put on wax. While you are picking it up on their Bandcamp page, I encourage you to check out their others releases. Snag yourself some vinyl and a cassette. Once they infect you with their rockin’ load, you need to find a way to see them live. These boys know how to bring the boogie. Follow them on Facebook and make it out a show. If you come to Reno, beer is on me and shirtless hugs provided by Brad.
