Phoenix, Arizona death metal contingent, Job For A Cowboy is back on the road in support of its upcoming Metal Blade release, Demonocracy. Brutally ugly, and beautifully caustic, Demonocracy is the band’s third full length studio effort. This slab of filth was produced by Jason Suecof (Charred Walls of the Damned, The Black Dahlia Murder, Mutiny Within) and marks the debut of bassist Nick Schendzielos (Cephalic Carnage) and lead guitarist Tony Sannicandro (Cadaveryne).
This may well be the band’s sickest sonic output to date. Perhaps the most notable change in the band’s sound with Demonocracy is the fretwork of Sannicandro who lights up each track with blistering solos.
Tale a listen to “Nourishment Through Bloodshed”
The band is currently in full tour mode on the 2012 Metalliance Tour with DevilDriver, The Faceless, Dying Fetus, 3 Inches Of Blood and Impending Doom. A facemelter of a line-up to be sure.
Last week I caught up with vocalist Jonny Davy as he and the band made a pit-stop in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. The wind was blowing, the rain was threatening, and the reception was shaky, but the conversation, as always, was enlightening. We had to keep it short, but we talked about Demonocracy, the lyrical concepts, producer Jason Suecof and more.
