One never knows when a simple phone conversation is going to turn into an impromptu interview. Last weekend while chatting with Crowned By Fire guitarist Justin Manning, Metalholic got an unexpected update about the band’s sophomore album.
Manning revealed that while former Pantera producer Sterling Winfield will still mix the record, the album will be recorded at the Black Vatican– Zakk Wylde’s home recording studio.
We also spoke briefly about the underhanded activities of BMI and ASCAP, and Justin gives us an inside look at the creation of the Black Vatican.
Take a listen to our short interview below, and make sure you pick up Crowned By Fire‘s debut album, Prone To Destroy. If you want to learn more about Zakk Wylde and the Black Vatican check out his new book Bringing Metal To The Children– The Complete Berserkers Guide To World Tour Domination.
