Endless Chaos interview
In a nation renowned for its ice hockey, Winnipeg, Manitoba’s Endless Chaos are more concerned with making extreme and heavy music. The band’s idea of a hat trick is blending black, thrash and death metal into its own unique hybrid amalgamation. This week Metalholic touched base with vocalist Jordan Dorge and guitarist and primary songwriter, Mike Menza to chat about the quintet’s debut three-track EP, “Rejected Atrocity“.
Endless Chaos was founded in 2011 and also includes lead guitarist Mike Toews, drummer, James Burton, and bassist Jeff Humarang. The band has already shared the stage with the likes of Skeletonwitch, 3 Inches of Blood, Wretched, Aborted and Kataklysm.
On March 4, they not only released “Rejected Atrocity” but gave it away to fans for free. Jordan and Mike offered that they had kept fans waiting for so long it seemed only right to repay their hard won loyalty. “It familiarizes the fans with what we are,” stated Dorge, “And I feel like these three songs really capture that and where the band is headed.”
Menza talked about the band’s evolution from a trio to the aggression of the new five-piece line-up while Dorge talked about his lyrical content and fascination with horror films and the macabre. Both shared some of the metal albums that changed their lives.
