While we all wait impatiently for the June 7th release of Arch Enemy‘s 8th studio album, Khaos Legions (Century Media) the band has given us an early taste with the release of the video and song “Yesterday Is Dead And Gone”.
Expectations are high for this record, as fans have been waiting quite a while for new music from the band. If this track is any indication, we can expect an album of brutal yet melodic death metal brilliance.
Vocalist Angela Gossow sounds better than ever, while the band simply shreds away behind her.
“This album is kind of nuts. It’s a very exciting record for me because it encapsulates everything that Arch Enemy is about. It was written over a four year period, so I think that’s why it’s got a lot of depth and girth to it.” —Arch Enemy guitarist Michael Amott
The new record was produced by Rickard Bengtsson (Armegeddon, Last Tribe), and mixed by Andy Sneap (Opeth, Killswitch Engage, Megadeth).

“Here’s the visual companion to our new song ‘Yesterday Is Dead And Gone’. As you will see – we had a riot making it!!! The new ‘Khaos Legions’ album is to my ears our most diverse and musical creation to date. I’m looking forward to unleashing the KHAOS worldwide in a few weeks from now!“
